A study on octocoral communities and their associated invertebrates in the Southern and Western waters of Hong Kong was conducted from 2022 to 2024. The diversity and coverage of octocorals across the 30 study sites were assessed. This guide book presents the species of octocorals found in Hong Kong's Southern and western waters, along with the invertebrates associated with each species. This Project (Project No.: MCEF20109) was funded by Marine Conservation Enhancement Fund (MCEF) established by the Castle Peak Power Company Limited, the Hongkong Electric Company Limited and the Hong Kong LNG Terminal Limited.
